I’ve had an idea about creating a rack with spools to organize all my loose flexible wire. When I say all I mean the four colors that I’ve got, obviously got to order some more, hehe… Anyways, the idea originally came from these neat spools that I found on eBay. Perfect size, and they measure 13mm inside diameter, so a M12 (12mm) threaded rod would be the perfect fit.
So I went out to my local hardware store and got the parts I needed, and built together this configuration. I also created a small jig to run the flexible wire on to the spools. My 18v drill came in handy for this job.
And then the final result, mounted in place looked like this. When I manage to fill up all the spools, I think it will become a pretty neat solution for storing flexible wire.
